<abstract>
 Introduction: Nowadays, the advent of digital medical equipment and using information technology especially in the medical field are accompanied with many advantages and challenges. Therefore, identifying the challenges of modern technologies can significantly help the managers to use technology properly. The aim of this study was to assess the challenges of picture archiving and communication system (PACS) from the users’ perspective.

Method: This descriptive analytical study was performed on 53 users of PACS in 2014. Data were collected by a questionnaire that its reliability was calculated by Cronbach’s Alpha (0.78). Data were analyzed and descriptive statistics (frequency distribution table, mean, index of dispersion, and analysis of variance) were obtained using SPSS 18.

Results: It was found that 26.4 percent of the users used PACS for 5 years, 58.8 percent used the system for 2-5 years, and 75.5 percent of diagnostic imaging department users also used this system. The results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that only access to the system is the significant variable, and the average score of challenges in the clinics is higher than those in other departments.

Conclusion: The results show that PACS users expressed the opposite opinion about the challenges indicating that users have relative satisfaction from the system and implementation of this system was greatly successful.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Nowadays, to obtain useful relationship between risk factors in diseases, data mining techniques are used. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between nutritional indices and obesity and components of metabolic syndrome using data mining approach.

Methods: In this correlational survey, 1019 adolescents (aged 11-18 years) were included and nutritional data were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Dietary Diversity Score (DDS) and Healthy Eating Index (HEI-2010) were calculated. According to the values of metabolic syndrome components, a risk score was determined for each individual. Relationship between the variables was analyzed using linear regression.

Results: There was no significant relationship between DDS and components of metabolic syndrome and obesity. However, there was a significant but weak positive relationship between HEI and high waist (B=0.093, P=0.01165), body mass index (BMI) (B=0.309, P=0.022) and waist-to-height ratio (B=0.0006, P=0.005).

Conclusion: There was no relationship between DDS and risk of metabolic syndrome and obesity but there was a significant positive relationship between HEI and some components of metabolic syndrome and obesity. It seems that the relationship between nutritional indices in HEI and obesity indices should be assessed in HEI.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of three nanomotors on 15 transmembrane amyloid-beta precursor proteins by molecular dynamics simulation.

Method: In this study, 15 transmembrane APP (14 mutant forms and one normal) were obtained from National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and separately modeled in Designer Ascalaph. The synthesized peptides with three-dimensional stable structures were selected to be simulated and then were placed near synthesized nanomotors, hypericin, and retinol using HyperChem. At end of simulation, different parameters such as free energy, intermolecular energy, potential energy, and root mean square displacement (RMSD) were separately obtained for each APP. Finally, the ratio of changes was calculated for each parameter.

Results: The results showed that each nanomotor had different performance on different peptides. Hypericin on peptide 5, retinol on peptide 10, and nanomotors partly on peptide 4 had a great performance. But because each nanomotor influences only special mutant peptide and Alzheimer's disease is caused by different mutations, only one type of nanomotors cannot be used to treat Alzheimer's disease.

Conclusion: According to the investigations performed on the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, it can be concluded that retinol with three-dimensional structure and dynamic parameters has great performance on transmembrane mutant peptide; therefore, it can be considered as a useful treatment strategy.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Telomere is the physical terminal of linear chromosomes composed of a non-coding sequence that protects the ends of chromosomes. Therefore, evolutionary process of telomerase, as the synthase enzyme of telomere, and its structure in various species should be discussed. The aim of this study was to collect the sequences of telomerase gene family and compare them in order to find motifs protected by this gene family and investigate the proximity of human TERT with other species using bioinformatics and computational methods. This study was performed on the 3 levels of protein, mRNA, and DNA. As the sequences of organisms have been increased, combining plants’ and animals’ data is a challenge. Also, more information about the structure of telomerase can help to find new ways to inhibit this enzyme in cancer.

Method: In this in silico study, species had at least 35% evolution similarity were selected from plants and vertebrates. Sequences were aligned using ClastalW program. Organisms’ evolutionary tree was drawn using MEGA5 software and protein motifs were detected using ScanProsite software.

Results: Proximity of human TERT with other spices was observed in C-terminal region. Amino acid parts preserved were detected and the reverse transcriptase domain was introduced as conserved functional motifs of all species at protein level.

Conclusion: Any removal or disturbance in RT-POL domain lead to enzyme deficiencies in all species. Also, the N-terminal region of TERT because of its high preservation in mammals, was introduced as an attractive target for inhibition of telomerase in breast cancer.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Recent advances in mobile technology combined with medical specialties, have introduced a new option called mobile health that provides new opportunities to improve patients’ health. Mobile health has changed the traditional delivery of healthcare services and also previous assumptions of concepts such as service providers, patients, health care services and lifestyle. The aim of this study was to introduce mobile health concept and application of this technology in management and treatment of skin lesions.

Methods: This is a comprehensive review aimed to introduce mobile health application in providing skin care and diagnostic services and clinical outcomes of this method. In this review article, articles on the telemedicine, mobile health, and teledermatology were searched using online databases such as Pubmed, Scopus, Google scholar, Web of Science, and Ebsco.

Results: Studies in this area show that use of mobile health in dermatology is superior to the conventional method of teledermatology and this method can be used for diagnosis, treatment, screening, triage, and also management of patients with chronic conditions in their home.

Conclusion: Mobile health can be potentially used as a cost effective and available method for providing professional skincare services especially in the economically or geographically-disadvantaged area, thereby, the gap of access to professional services will be filled.
